Why No Soap or Ladders?

You may have noticed that we do not clean windows the way windows have been cleaned in the past. Using updated technology that has previously been limited to commercial high-rise jobs, we are able to effectively wash windows on every story without the use of ladders or soap! The best part is, because of these new methods, your windows will actually stay clean for longer!

How Our Method Works

The Equipment We Use

Water-only window washing includes the use of a water filtration system for reverse osmosis and deionization, a 40 foot telescoping water-fed pole for reaching high windows, a specialized scrub brush designed to clean glass without scratching, hoses and connectors to transport the water, and a nozzle or spray system for rinsing the windows after they have been scrubbed.

Pure water window washing is an innovative method that utilizes highly purified water to clean windows without the need for chemicals or detergents. The process begins with filtering the water to remove all impurities. This filtration typically involves multiple stages, including reverse osmosis and deionization. Reverse osmosis pushes water through a semi-permeable membrane, eliminating most dissolved solids and contaminants. The deionization process further purifies the water by removing any remaining ions, resulting in ultra-pure water.

The beauty of pure water, when used in window cleaning, is that when the pure water reaches a surface, the water immediately wants to try and return to its natural state (one with impurities). To do this, the pure water looks for dirt, dust and other particles to which it can adhere. Once the two elements meet, they are bonded together for easy removal during the rinse step of the process. During rinsing, with no dirt available for the pure water to bond with, the water will simply evaporate to leave a clean, spot-free, streak-free surface.

The purified water is then applied to the windows using a specialized scrub brush. This brush is designed to work seamlessly with pure water, ensuring that no streaks or spots are left behind. The brush’s bristles are gentle yet effective, allowing them to dislodge dirt and debris without scratching or damaging the glass. The pure water acts as a natural detergent, loosening the bond between dirt and glass, which the brush then easily removes. After scrubbing, the windows are rinsed with the same purified water, ensuring that all impurities are washed away, leaving a spotless, streak-free finish.

This H2O-only method is highly eco-friendly, as it eliminates the need for chemical cleaners and detergents. By using only purified water, it reduces the environmental impact associated with the production and disposal of cleaning chemicals. Additionally, this method is safe for plants, animals, and humans, as there are no harmful residues left behind. The reduced reliance on chemicals also means fewer pollutants entering waterways and ecosystems, contributing to a healthier environment overall. This sustainable approach not only benefits the planet but also provides a safer and more natural way to achieve sparkling clean windows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Thanks to the advanced filtration system we use, we do not need to squeegee the windows after they are done being cleaned. The water will air dry naturally leaving no film or spots behind.

Unfortunately not. Hard water stains are the result of calcium buildup overtime often due to the repeated exposure to hard mineral rich water. A good rule of thumb is if you can’t scratch away a stain with your fingernail, we likely can’t scrub it away with our equipment.

Because all dissolved solids have been filtered out of the water, as the water evaporates nothing will be left behind to leave any spots or streaks. If there are any spots or streaks after the water has evaporated, it means the technician didn’t do a good job rinsing the window. If this is the case just let us know and we will come back to correct our mistake.

Absolutely! Our telescoping water fed poles can extend up to 40 feet! This means that we can reach nearly every window on your home.

Unfortunately at this time we only clean exterior windows.

Our brushes are specialized for window glass. While we do use them to also wash the window frames and window sills, we do not clean siding at this time.

Yes! While we can not remove stains from window frames or sills, we can remove the dirt film that builds upon over time. Before our technicians clean the glass, they will brush over the sills and frames to remove this layer of dirt. This will help the windows stay clean for longer and help protect against future staining that occurs as dirt is repeatedly baked by sunlight hitting the frame.
It is important to note that we do not clean the caulking around the window frame.
